TYPOGRAPHY :
This is the most simplest and common of all logo types. The letter forms are the focus of the logo. The name can be easily read with no real competiting elements. The art is presenting the letters in a memorable way. A designer will tweek the font or may integrate a small graphic element to identify that font with only your company
DISPLAY TYPE :
Again, the letter forms are custom and therefore only associated with that company. Think of Coca Cola or Disney. At times, the name can be art itself.
MASCOT :
A mascot is an old school tool of identifying a company product or service, but if it's done creatively, it can still be fresh and modern. A good mascot is a symbol that can be easily used by itself and recognized.
BADGES :
Badges or emblems are within the logo, but also can be used by themselves, expanding your opportunity to stamp your i.d.
INSIGNIAS :
An insignia is your unique symbol, perhaps unidentifiable at first, but done properly and consistently, the insignias are the strongest and quickest way to identify your company. Like badges, they can all be pulled from the full logo and used alone, giving you another arm to brand. Insignias are my specialty !!
PERSONAL INSIGNIA :
Personal Insignia is the first choice of branding if YOU are the brand such as an artist, musician, speaker, designer, etc.
ILLUSTRATION LOGOS :
The most expensive and maybe the hardest to consistently reproduce.
But they sure do gain the attention!

Have you heard? Web 2.0 is the last trend for internet- based businesses. There is lots of talk of what exactly is "web 2.0 style". It basically is a uber friendly logo. Fat juicy fonts with colors only kids would put together. Easy to translate onto the web, but a little more difficult for print
applications.
