Getting that perfect logo is really a byproduct of communication between client  and designer.
Good designers ask lots of questions (And of course great designers listen).  Never trust a designer who will start designing with just your company's name, so if you have a Creative Brief prepared, please forward that to me, or go to "Downloads" in the side navigation panel (or click this link) for my Logo Questionnaire so we may begin this process together.

The adjectives used most often when a client describes what they are looking for in a logo is "unique" and "original".  After studying thousands of logos, quite honestly my definition may be quite different then yours, so it is very essential for me to see the types of logos that speak to your style and appeals to your aesthetics. The time invested by you here will actually shorten the design process and get the logo you want faster!

The most time-consuming task in developing a logo is coming up with original ideas. So my prices are based on just that.  For instance, in "B.Y.O.B Design Package" . If you are coming into this process with a concept already in hand and you are not interested in seeing any other ideas, then that package is a lot less expensive than the someone who would like to see a total of 12 mock-ups . Please go to "Downloads" or click here for
The 2008 Price list.  Also visit Concepts vs Versions   (what you are getting for your money)

Once the questionnaire is received, you will have your mock-ups within 3 business days. (7 days for the V.I.P. Package) This time will allow me to research your industry standards, study your competition, choose the right fonts, appropriate color palettes, and then "play" to which ideas start to come to life.

Even though a lot of time and effort will go into creating different concepts,  the mock-ups are really just a springboard from where the designer and the client relationship begins and the most important step of the design process starts...

As happy as I’ve seen clients with my mock-ups, I’ve never had someone say “Perfect!  Bill me."  Most business owners will want to “play” with the logo themselves.
I encourage business owners to explore other variations, even if they ultimately comeback to the original concept.

No one can really predict how many revisions a logo will go through. That's why I will always offer unlimited revisions. Most logos will go through 4 revisions, but I have been through 18 revisions as well.

New concepts have a 3-day turnaround time. Versions & Revisions are presented within 24-48 hours of the request. Depending on the speed of communication, the final version of the logo is complete within 7-10 days. (If you require a rush, please ask me to provide you with a special price)

SPECIAL NOTE : "Design by Committee" never works . If you are in a situation where everyone has an equal say, I would suggest that a head be chosen. I love the fact that most of my clients are the business owners themselves. Design decisions get made firm and fast ..When I deal with a corporation or a "team" of investors, Honestly, there is always (and I mean always ) going to be someone who doesn't like something ... Ideas will get stuck in what I call design purgatory.

If a final logo cannot be fleshed out, (which has never happened to me  except for the above situation) this non-refundable deposit would act as a"kill fee". You don't own it and I don't own it (and I won't put it in my portfolio for any reason)

At long last when a final logo is approved! I will submit an invoice through Paypal

Official PayPal Seal

Once the balance is received, I will prepare and deliver the eight different file formats that you will need.

VECTOR FILES
(for store front signage, large format graphics such as billboards, trade show booths, embroidery for uniforms, silkscreen for T-shirts)

1.
Adobe Illustrator (.AI) This is the  master file saved in the latest version CS3. Most Commercial Printers prefer this native file. If your printer needs this file saved in an earlier version of Illustrator, please let me know. Please remember, unless you have Adobe Illustrator, you will not be able to open this file.

2.
Encapsulated Postscript (.EPS) This .EPS file is another  vector  option. It is considered more universal than .AI files because it can be open by designers and printhouses that use Coreldraw and Freehand. (two other vector programs) Just like the above file this is in CMYK color mode, the required color space for quality print houses. Please remember, unless you have the correct application, you will not be able to open this file.

3.
Portable Document Format  (.PDF) High quailty postscript file is for commercial use and  in-office use.

BITMAP FILES
Bitmap files are files that are made up of tiny pixels or dots like the images on your computer screen.

4. Graphics Interchangeable Format (.GIF 80 dpi) with a translucent background is for web or PowerPoint presentations in a RGB Color Mode.

5. Portable Network Graphic  (.PNG 300ppi) is another web option.

6.
HI RES JPEG
(average size 5 x 8 300 dpi) For your in office use .  Remember, when it comes to pixels, you can shrink down, but if you try to scale up from the size I am giving you, you  will lose clarity. So please let me know if you need a larger size.

7. TIFF (compressed file and layered if applicable)

8. Photoshop CS3 (.PSD)  (uncompressed file and layered if applicable)

If you should need any other formats or sizes (with no changes to the master file itself) it is free for the next twelve months. After that, it is $25.00 maintenance fee. If you should need a grayscale version, negative treatment, or any variation of the full treatment logo that was approved, only one format is free.  A full delivery of all formats of a new treatment will be a
$ 12.50 surcharge.

For a CD delivery by USPS ....is an additional $12.50
